CertSeries
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: August 1, 2026
1. Overview
CertSeries is an online exam-preparation and learning application for banking professionals and other exam candidates. This policy explains what personal information CertSeries collects, why we use it, when we share it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you. It applies to the CertSeries website, mobile applications, and related learning services.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, password in hashed form, profile details, and selected exam preferences.
- Google sign-in information: when you choose Continue with Google, we request only the OpenID, email, and profile scopes. Google may provide your Google account identifier, name, email address, email-verification status, and basic profile information. We use this information only to create, identify, secure, and display your CertSeries account.
- Learning activity: enrolled courses, lesson and video progress, practice and mock-test responses, scores, bookmarks, notes, study plans, streaks, and community activity.
- Transactions and support: purchase and subscription records, limited payment status and transaction references received from payment providers, account-deletion requests, and messages you send to support. CertSeries does not store complete payment-card details.
- Device and usage information: browser or app type, device identifiers, IP address, diagnostic logs, notification tokens, and interactions with the service.
3. How we use information
- Provide authentication, account access, courses, tests, progress tracking, and other requested learning features.
- Personalize study recommendations and show your saved progress across devices.
- Process purchases, provide customer support, and send service, security, and account communications.
- Maintain service security, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve performance and content.
- Meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations and enforce our terms.
Google user data is not used for advertising, sold, or used to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share only the information necessary with service providers that help us operate CertSeries, such as cloud hosting, database, email, notification, analytics, video-delivery, customer-support, and payment providers. These providers may process information only to perform services for us and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, in connection with a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards, or when you direct or consent to the disclosure.
CertSeries's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
5. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it. Some transaction records may be retained where tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or other laws require it.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, secure transport, and protected credentials. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and account deletion
You may review or update available profile information in your account. You may also disconnect CertSeries from your Google Account's third-party connections page. Disconnecting Google does not by itself delete information already stored in your CertSeries account.
To request deletion of your CertSeries account and associated personal information, use the CertSeries account-deletion page or contact us using the details below. We will delete or anonymize eligible information, subject to records we must retain for legal, security, or transaction purposes.
7. Children's privacy
CertSeries is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
9. Contact us
For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, email support@certseries.com or use the CertSeries contact page.
